What it takes to be a Store Management Trainee
Want a springboard into a career in store management? This is the place to start. Our Store Management Trainees love developing new skills, are proud of their workplace, and thrive in a hands-on, results-driven environment. Not only do they learn every aspect of running a store, they’re paid well to do so. But this program isn’t about classroom learning. Our Store Management Trainees are hands on, pragmatic candidates who use their initiative to lead from the front. Whilst it helps to have led a team in the past, we’re really after people hungry to learn the ins and outs of a retail business, and keen to test their skills in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
We start at 6am, so you’d wanna be a morning person. The pay’s really good, but you definitely work for it
The rewards – What’s in it for you:
As a Store Management Trainee, you’ll be given high levels of autonomy and responsibility from day one – real ownership of your store. Fast-paced and diverse, there’s always something to do, so you’ll never be bored. We offer extensive training, excellent working conditions, industry-leading remuneration, five weeks' annual leave and the opportunity to progress to Assistant Store Manager at the end of the program.
The role challenges:
Learning all aspects of managing an ALDI store can be daunting and stressful at first. It takes hard work, early morning starts and late night finishes so you can’t be afraid to get your hands dirty. As you grow in the program, there’s always the added managerial pressure of meeting store targets, so planning and organisational skills are a must. If you’re not a natural multi-tasker, this definitely isn’t the job for you.
* Includes superannuation. Remuneration varies depending on location, contracted hours and ALDI experience.
